What Now?

If you've repented and believed the good news then your sins have all been forgiven and you’re a new person. Life is going to be very different for you from now on. You don't belong to this world anymore - you're now a citizen of the new creation and a loyal subject of Jesus the king. As a guarantee and a seal of ownership, God has put his Spirit in your heart and changed you from the inside. You’ve got a new relationship with God now that will last into the new creation for eternity. In the mean time it's important that you learn to live to please your king. He has a purpose for you.

Get hold of a Bible. The Bible is God's way of speaking with us so that we know him better. Get hold of a good and easy to read translation like the NIV or the ESV. Start with Mark or Romans. Read it and talk to God about the things you learn from it.

Find a church. It’s not easy living here in this world when you belong to the next one, but you’re now part of a new family with all the other people that Jesus has saved. Get to know some of them better and help each other stay focussed on the things that are important. Find a church where the people also believe the Bible and get involved there by loving and serving God’s people.

If you still have a million questions about all this, that's good. You might want to get in contact with the person who referred you to this site and see if they can help you find answers in the Bible, or send me an email if you like. I'd love to hear from you.

God bless you, save you from your sins and make you a citizen of his new creation. I eagerly hope to see you there.

Yours,
Gavin
