What the Bible says

Vanity of vanities, says the Preacher, vanity of vanities! All is vanity.
Ecclesiastes chapter 1 verses 11-12

Life is Meaningless

Sometimes it can feel like life has no meaning. The world goes around and around like it always has and nothing much really changes. Our daily lives have their ups and downs, but we plough on through it as best we can and try to find a few pleasant distractions along the way to make it a little less dull.

You might be surprised to discover that the Bible says life in this world is meaningless. We are born, we live, we love, we die. Meaningless! Sometimes it's wonderful, sometimes it's just awful, but it inevitably ends in death which makes it all meaningless. It's a somewhat sobering view of life in this world.

The Bible says this to force us to have a realistic view of life, and to help us see that there is more to life than just our lives in this world. Deep inside we know that's true. In the quiet of the night, in the secret place of the heart we all know that there’s more to life than meets the eye.

This website is all about God’s plan. A plan which gives meaning to life because it is bigger than this life and bigger than this world. It’s a plan for his glory and his love to be displayed forever in a future new world that he is preparing.
